Using gentle touch while testing for movement in various parts of the spine, sacrum and cranium, CranioSacral Therapy (CST) facilitates the client's own self-corrective rebalancing processes. This therapy encourages natural mechanisms to improve the functioning of the brain and spinal cord, which enhances general health and resistance to disease, as well as encouraging relaxation of the nervous system. CST involves massaging these bones to loosen or release restrictions or blockages in the dural membrane, which surrounds the brain and spinal cord. These blockages and restrictions can cause pain and dysfunction, not just in the back, but in the entire body.
Another significant benefit of CST is that it helps to calm the sympathetic nervous system (the fight-or-flight response) and stimulate the parasympathetic system (the rest-and-digest response), leaving the body in a much more relaxed state and promoting rest and healing throughout the body. I have found that calming the nervous system is very helpful with conditions like PTSD, ADD/ADHD anxiety and depression.
My craniosacral work also incorporates the body's seven major chakras, which are spinning wheels of energy located at various spots from the base of our spine to the top of our heads. They have a tremendous impact on our emotional, energetic, physical, psychological, and spiritual well-being. By working with these subtle energy systems, as well as the physical structures of the craniosacral system, I am able to address your body's issues and free up blockages on much deeper levels.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage (LDM) stimulates the body’s lymphatic system, helping to improve lymph flow, directly affecting the body’s immune system and fluid balance. When the lymphatic processes become impaired, significant problems can develop, including toxin and fibrotic tissue build-up, edema, and fluid retention.
LDM is valuable in both pre- and post-operative surgical situations, as well as a wide range of conditions including, but not limited to:
fluid retention in joints and tissues; lymph node removal and lymphedema; allergies; chronic fatigue; chronic mastitis; chronic sinusitis; migraine headaches; scar tissue; stress & anxiety.
The majority of my lymphatic work is with post-operative patients, and I can work as soon as one day post-op. As a rule, sooner is better for lymphatic work; helping the body eliminate this swelling allows other areas to heal faster. I use a very light touch (only 8 oz. of pressure, the equivalent of two quarters) so there is no pain from this work. And even though it seems counter-intuitive that a light touch works better, in this instance it actually does.
I spent 11 years working for a now-retired plastic surgeon which gave me invaluable knowledge and experience assisting patients with prolonged swelling, as well as smoothing out the lumps and bumps that sometimes occur from liposuction.

This technique is designed to alleviate the pain and discomfort associated with pregnancy and childbirth. I have cushions that allow a pregnant mother-to-be to lie face down without discomfort or danger to the fetus. I originally learned these techniques so I could work on my wife when she was pregnant with our two children, but I have since helped many others through their pregnancies.

Based on the principle of Universal Life Energy or Chi, Reiki is believed to date back to early Tibetan healing practices. Discovered in the 1800's by a Japanese philosopher and Christian seminary educator, Dr. Mikao Usui, Reiki was brought to the United States in the mid-1900s. As an energy healing technique, Reiki involves hands-on touch and visualization applied to the entire body, serving to align chakras (energy centers throughout the body) and bring healing energy to organs and glands. It works by supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself. The practitioner, trained to access and serve as a channel for the life energy, uses a passive touch which some clients experience as warmth or a tingling feeling.

A comprehensive program of soft tissue manipulation techniques that balance the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord and nerves) with the structure and form of the musculo-skeletal system (skeleton and muscles of the body), neuromuscular massage is massage applied to specific muscles, often used to increase blood flow, release knots of muscle tension, or release pain/pressure on nerves. One type of this therapy is also known as Trigger Point Therapy, in that concentrated finger pressure is applied to "trigger points" of muscular pain.

Swedish Massage is a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. Its main purpose is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles.

Sports Massage is typically used before, during, and after athletic events to prepare the athlete for peak performance to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. It also helps to relieve swelling, reduces muscle tension, promotes flexibility and prevents injuries. Rather than promoting relaxation, the focus is on stretching and clearing out metabolic waste products that build up in the muscles.
